3 Haas avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
1 lime, juiced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 medium onion, diced
2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 clove garlic, minced
In a large bowl place the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice, toss to coat. Drain, and reserve the lime juice, after all of the avocados have been coated. Using a potato masher add the salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash. Then, fold in the onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve.
I think I was very close, by the way there are many variations to it, this is one type, you can add or subtract ingredients if you wish. Some recipies have chunky avocado, some are more in a paste form, it really depends what you like.
First you need to know how to cut and get the pulp out
so just slice it in half
Bang the blade edge of the knife on the seed and take the seed out.
Now if you wanto make a dip out of it, scoop the avocado out with a spoon, add some lemon, salt and any other seasoning you want to make it desi style dip
Guacamole is too bland for me, i like adding some chat masala to it.
If you are going to toss the avocado in a salad then after taking the seed out, use the knife to cut the avocado still intact in the skin into square pieces and then scoop 'em out with a spoon
Add 'em to a cold salad with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cheese waghera waghera
Or you can use it to make sandwiches.
slice the avocado into thin pieces and use 'em as a filling for sandwich with some cold meat and cheese.
Or make Pita sleeves with any filling and avocado.
Blend avocado with milk and sugar according to taste. Consistency should be as a pudding. Chill and you can add chopped apples or bananas or tangerines (or all) when you eat. Or eat plain...yumm
You can also blend avocado with mango and little yoghurt for a lower cal version of above pudding. Tastes great if mango has a sweet and slight tangy taste

great yar i only makes avacado dip like we make mint chutney and it taste great now i will try the pudding as well.
My sister makes this and its quite yum. She makes a tuna or chicken mayo salad, halves the avocado, takes it out of its skin and removes the seed then she puts a large scoop of the mayo salad in the center of it and its ready to be devoured.
You can also make a light and refreshing salad as a side dish. Simply take the flesh out and slice avocado thinly. Also take one seedless cucumber and slice thinly. Add juice of about 1 lemon for flavor and also so it doesn't turn black. Add salt & pepper to taste...really nice in the summer.
aly-sam : first time hearing about avocado pudding…does sound
must try it!
q: do i just blend the 3 ingredients and it’ll form a pudding consistancy itself??
saadiaB: i’ve always wondered why avocado is good for the face??? Isn’t it suppose to be high in fat or something…
Sidra54: avocado milkshake …hmmm…that’s a first too (must try)
Faryaat...yes blend milk avocado and sugar ...1 big avocado and you could start off with half glass milk and 1-2 tbsp sugar. Keep adding milk and sugar as required...and check consistency should not be too runny. BTW you paid $2 for an avocado!!! I could buy 10-15 avocados with that and make pudding to feed a small community...LOL
My mum's secret recipie Aaish...All love it at home!
