Ladies help

I straighten my hair daily, which now is causing my hair to
be dry and crispy no longer shiny and smooth. Is there
suppose to be a special product you use if you straighten your hair?
Or a speical shampoo for dry hair? I notice that i’m getting
split ends too, but i can’t do without the hair straightener and
having it yuko’d is not something I can afford right now. :frowning: Thanks.

Are your hair straighteners made with ceramic plates? If not then investing in a pair would be a good idea as they are kinder on your hair than metal plated straighteners.

I presume you're not using any heat protection product on your hair before using the straighteners, which is why your hair is drying out. Try Tigi Protein Protection Spray or Redkens Anti Snap, they protect your hair from the heat of the starighteners exceptionally well.

And lastly, get the split ends trimmed off your hair. You can't repair them and they'll just get worse as you continue to use heated appliances. It's better to start again with a clean break. (Pun intended)

ps) why are you straightening your hair daily? I remember when I used to straighten mine that it always lasted two days.

HAve you tried cutting back to using the straighteners every other day?
