Ladies going to 'Maamu" like guys to decide right date for wedding

Alright dearies,

I want to know your experience with such ladies and relatives who go to “GEO TV walay MAMU” people and ask weather this date is good for my daughters wedding or not?

a, Does those date fixed marriage’s really prosper?
b, How aba those who didnt go to any peer and Mamu ppl, r they happily married

plz give ur feedback, wat do u think!!!

You mean mahoorat kinda thing??? Its pointless, ofcourse.

For my sister's wedding, we only took into consideration the islamic months e.g. we wanted the wedding to be in December during the Christmas holidays so that we won't miss out much on college but December 2008 was the month of Muharram. So we decided to postpone the wedding to summer holidays of 2009. But then it was Ramadhan in summer 2009 so we again postponed the wedding to September 2009, a few days after eid.

As far as peers are concerned, I could say they're all nonsense as well but... Alhumdulillah I've met 2 "peers" who really are "Allah wale log". Mom is still in touch with one of them in Pakistan. But I still wouldn't want my mother or father going to the "baba ji" before making any decisions, unless its something really major.

90% or even more of the peers these days are ofcourse frauds.
