Re: Ladies and gentlemen,
*****es! but the men who abide by their rules are actually the ones to blame and they are by far even worse creatures.
Re: Ladies and gentlemen,
Irrational. However, something must have gone really wrong for her to demand something like this. Also, just to be clear your spouse has no right to ask you to cut off all ties with your parents unless they are abusive towards you not your spouse. Even then Only you should make that decision.
Re: Ladies and gentlemen,
Let's flip this thread on its head. So, if a man's parents ask him to leave his wife and he does, what do you think of such parents and what do you think of such a man?
and I actually know of parents who have said this to their sons

why sudden urge to flip this particular thread ![]()

They have no right to ask their son to leave his wife. They are just irrational as the Woman asking her husband to cut off all ties with his parents.
Re: Ladies and gentlemen,
^ sadly in our culture parents/elders reserves all rights

I think in both cases the bechara mard is the one who must make the right decision. If he chooses to leave his parents to please his wife, he needs some chittars, and if he chooses to leave his wife because the parents said so, then again he needs some chittars.
What he should do, is sit with both parties separately and become a man.
