ISNA itself is good and they make a genuine effort only for the benefit of the Muslim community. A lot of people who attend ISNA are there for legitimate reasons (i.e. learning about our deen). It’s sad that a lot of people who attend ruin it for everybody else with their antics. The fight at the Hyatt was the second one I heard about. There was one earlier during the day while I was at the conference outside of the convention centre.
Anyway, Rukhs, Hamza Yusuf was not there this year. Apparently, now ‘Revival’ is the new hot conference that he will only speak at. I don’t know how accurate that is, but I was really disappointed that he was not there.
The protest outside Naseeb was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. That comedien was the best.

spock not a whole lot of spectators, most ppl were in hyatt by that time, so maybe 50 or so ppl who were walking by saw the phadda. Most ppl in the lobby did not even know that there was a serious fight going on just a block from the lobby.

The protest was funny. This guy put up banners reading Islam: The Anti Naseeb. I met him on my last trip to the bazaar and had the honour of speaking to him. When asked why he was protesting he mentioned how dating was haraam making naseeb haraam too. I told him I totally agreed wit hhis views, wished him luck and hurridly rushed tot he bazaar to get back in time for the Naseeb party :D

This girl is so fit and totally athletic. I don’t know why you are always complaining about your weight or your appearance. Mashallah se, you are very pretty. 
Fraudia, people were protesting outside the hotel with signs. Not that many people, maybe less than a dozen. I think Femme saw them making signs during the day. They think the whole concept of Naseeb is haram and it leads to haram. 
That is what the comedian was joking about during his act. The whole ‘send a salam’ is used to flirt on the website. I guess it upsets people.
