Re: Labor Room
NJMasti - I have to agree with all of your posts! lol
My soon to be fiance and I have actually already discussed this matter ( i know ... koi haal naheen ) and we are both on the same page: he has to be present in the delivery room.... and no one else (other than medical staff)! Afterall, by this point in your life - who else knows you as well as your hubby does?!?!
It is also amazing to find out how comforting your guy can be as well. You may never find this out unless you are in this situation and you let him comfort you.
I obviously am not even married yet. But have already discovered how compassionate and caring my fiance to be is. A little while ago he had to rush me to the hospital because I got really sick (Swine flu.... its just as bad as you hear. Allah ka shuker hai that I am alright now). I live alone in another state from my parents as I have just finished my education and am now looking for a job. When I got too ill, i called him and told him and he came over right away and rushed me to ER. There he spent the whole time asking doctors questions, holding my hand, bringing me water, calming me down, etc. It was mA SUCH a comfort to have him there! And because I was so ill, I did not even care about how I looked (no makeup, pajamas on, hair in ponytail) and neither did he. He simply said he hated to see me in this condition but that he would have hated it more if he was not there to take care of me and give me comfort. :)
This experience shed some light onto what it might be like in the future. I can't even imagine not having him with me during that time iA! He is my biggest source of comfort, strength!! And also my best friend.
