Re: labor
Yes!! I took epidural with the labor pains. I was very much scared of the labor pains so had to ask my doctor (SIFA INTERNATIONAL ISLAMABAD) to brief me about the epidural. Then my brother-in-law who is a doctor himself, convinced me to take the epidural without thinking. So i had it. Mine was an artificial pain delivery. Doctor induced the first tablet around 11 at night, at 6 am she had to induce the second tablet. Then after an hour 7 am i had the first contraction and it kept on coming, at 11 am she broke the water bag and then they kept on coming
… At 2:30 the doctor gave me epidural, which made the pain go away at once, but at the same time he mentioned that he didnt give me full dose, i’d feel the pains and would be able to push. Then after an hour or so, i again started experiencing pain, i called the doctor but she said, that it was okay.. I remember my husband was sitting right next to me, and his face totally 12 o/clock… lol.
anyways, the baby was delivered at 6:08pm finally.. I wouldnt say it was complete painless delivery.
i experienced about 50-60%of pain.
Re: labor
a 50% pain thing sounds better than a 100% thingy ![]()
do docs take the demands of their patients serious ya apni marzi chalaatay hain?
Re: labor
thank god i'm a MAN..
Re: labor
BV, labor pains are yes very bear-able. SO much more when they are natural, the pains that you have when they give you the pitocin are just nuts. but even so, you get thru it.
Re: labor

Re: labor
well, i guess the doctors were happy that i asked for epidural, i guess to make extra cash :). but my brother in law’s wife has 3 kids and she had epidural everytime, but all of her kids are c-section. While my delivery, the doctor herself told the nurses to prepare the OT. And i was happy to hear that as i couldnt take anymore pain. But at the end, she said she wanted it to be normal delivery, Ufff… I thought i was going to die
But alhamdolillah all went well.
Obvioulsy doctors know whats right, but if they know the patient is someone parha likha then yes they take u serious.
Re: labor
the pain is def beaable with natural labor pains but yes if they induce u the contractions come on stronger.. but i still coped ...even tho i am a chicken..
def have the epidural it is BLISS..... it's painful getting it done but afterwads its a breeze...
1 more thing C-section is murder compared to a normal delivery
Cesearean birth
Ok we've had a thread on "labor and pains", now it's time to discuss the operative C-section! Has anyone experienced a cesearean birth here? What did you go through. Is there anyone who has gone through a normal vaginal delivery plus a C- section, if yes then what differences did u experience??
Re: Cesearean birth
Yes i ahve been through both
normal delivery for my girl, which at the time may ahve been painful but all apin was forgotten once she was out..
ceaserian on the other hand was Murder as in the delivery u dont feel u just feel them tugging at u tahts it but afterwards it was diificult to :
laugh
cry
reach for baby
walk
talk
cough
n so amny other things as everything seems to be associated to your abdomen........i hated it .......maybe bcoz i was comparing it 2 my 1st delivery
Re: Cesearean birth
qrius baji was normally delivered, so was i, but my lil bro was c-section.. as haseen.aatish said, mom had difficulties since then...the stiches were hurting big time, she had to sit down in a specific rhythm and get up in another.. was asked not to lift up any weight, not even baby..
but then, i know a couple, where 1st delivery was c-section, and second was normal (alllahhhhhhhhhh-o-akbar, i can only imagine the inconvenience) and yet lady was fine by 5-6 months after delivery..
Re: labor/delivery
I also heard that the C-section invites more difficulties and complications...
