We know that most Sufis in the subcontinent came through Central Asia. Laal Shahbaz Qalandar is a revered person in Sindh, was he a Pashtun?

I think he was able to write in Pashto as it is spoken in many areas of Afghanistan (even today). Otherwise, his ancestors migrated from Baghdad (Iraq) to Mashahd (Iran), thanks to Mongols.
Interestingly, Shahbaz Qalandar is not popular as a poet in Sindh as he didn’t write in Sindhi ( or probably it has not been recorded in earlier found sources of Sindhi Poetry). Many peoples don’t know whether he was a poet and those who know, don’t remember any lines from his poetry.

He is more popular as a saint. Though, Sehwan Sharif had many saints even before Qalandar Shahbaz, but he became the identity of the region as a saint. Though, Qalandar Shahbaz's own poetry is not popular among masses, but almost all the poets have written about him and he is the most mentioned saint in folk songs of Sindh.

I was thinking of the point you made in the previous post that the Mongols pushed the sufis into the subcontinent...maybe that was the time when these people started migrating there, my family also claims to have moved from Samarra (in iraq) but that was around 1500's, long after the Mongols.

Its for sure. Shah Latif is more popular for his poetry than karamaat as a saint, because his poetry was in language that locals understood. With the passage of time, as the language used by Shah Latif getting difficult to understand, his image as a saint becoming more prominent for newer generations.

yes, he is. Most sufis were revered by people irrespective of their religion.
In this case, there are many things that Hindus can relate at Qalandar's mazar including dhamal and the orange color.
