well…i was at work ..and this guy he comes up and says Hi i am CARL!..nice to meet u…pakistani nahi tha and its their rawaj they greet people by shaking hands..tu for his respect mainay haath milaya.

phir merii nazar uskay badge pe gayii..it said MAINTENANCE team..
i was like tu APP yahan maintenance ka kaam kertey hain..
he said “yes…” proudly woh bhii.
i was like to myself..shayad main galat samajh rahi hoon maintenance walay cleaning nahi kartey hongaye..tu confirm kerney k liyee i was like ..
" tu app loogon ka kaam kiya hai basically?"
he was like…“we clean washrooms, kitchens this whole workplace”
..i was SHOCKED!
i was like ..“why did u choose to b part of the maintenance team?(coz itni saari achi positions avaialabe thi..)”.
He said i have done everything else so i wanted to give this a try..and guess what he was a young goodlooking guy:)..ussay itni achi positions miljaati..

mujhay sab kuch itna weird laga i went to my cuban friend..i asked her k yeh yahan kyn hai …she was like..maybe dats what he wants to do..i was like what cleaning washrooms…yuck..
she was like.
“ya so..whats wrong with that..”
i was like..“i alwyas had sympathy for those jo clean kertey they washrooms n all "
she was like…” u don’t have to be sympathetic towards them..u do yr work and he does his work…and their pay is almost the same as ours( even though we both were his mangers scheduling his breaks and all)…and they get the same respect as us…"
Mujhay barda acha laga…coz pakistan main jo class system dekha tha woh yahan nahi tha:)…and loog proudly aisa kaam kerleytay hain..lol

I guess some ppl. aren't bothered as to what work they do :) I know here it doesn't really make a difference but I guess it depends from place to place and also on the people's mentality :)

lol..they DO CARE ABT WHAT THEY DO...he just wanted to experience this aswell..U have no idea..at my workplace they teach us abt respect her waqt...us being as managers we dont have a right to say nothing to neone..we need to respect them at all times..if we feel they are being rude to us we can just report it to the upper level management..:).
per jo bhi ho :)..i liked It :)..Allah ka shukar hai.>..Insaan ko insaan tu smajhtay hain na:)...infact everyone sits and eats together chahaye mujhse upper k managers kyn na hoon..kisi ko yeh nahi dekhaya jaata k they r below us:)

Im not sure I understand the point of your post --you were shocked because a white guy was working in maintenance or because a young, good looking guy was working in maintenance or because he chose to work in maintenance just to give it a try?

well..okay. this store just opens in yr area and they hire around 700 workers...une main se ..mostly eductaed people went for higher managing posts..i was shocked to see an educated person applying for a worthless job ..jo pakistani mind se dekha jaaye tu usmain koi respect nahii..i would never apply for that job...aur jin ko english bhi sahi nahi atii ...even they applied for better positions.
anyways..
secondly...people who are responsible for maintenance are respected equally, managers jitna kehlain....isliyee i was shocked..

i don't understand what are you so shocked about? everyone does hard work to earn their bread.. no matter what their job we should NOT and have NO right to look down at others..

LOL..FROZEN FIRE No i havenot recently moved from PAKISTAN ..i GREW up IN CANADA:)...And i love it ..for some reason merey liyee its like chotii jannat:)..Alhumdulillah..i am attached to every little thing here...mujhay achii lagti hai..patanahi kyn:(
i was 12 yrs old when i came here....per mujhay yaad hai i used to boss my maids around pak main..lol
khair..taht was coz mainay logon ko aisa hi kerta dekha ta apnay ird gird..
FROZEN FIRE ...I didnt recently moved from pakiland per society main mera shayad pehla qadam hai..adult lifee jeeni shuron ki hai na:)..Social life dekhnay lagi hoon na..tu yeh sab cheezain attract kertii hai mujhay

M K D...Moral nahi tha..sirf experience share kiya...mujhay acha laga the way they treat others with respect..koi barda chota nahi..infact managers r more likely to have the same pay as a normal cashier or so..and pay chahayee app cashier ho ya maintenance walay ya manager...her saal bardhti hai depending on how well u do in what u do..:)..

and waisay bhii..baaqi countries ...pakistan , india , etc...wahan pe koi washrooom clean kerney ki job na kerna pasand keray ..aur shayad ussay respect aur pay bhi baaqi managers tu door chotay motay workers jitni same bhi na milay.
Infact ...Koi bhi middle class ya shayad ussay uper ka shaks kabhii bhii shayad apnay bachay ko woh job tu door aisay shaks se shaadi kerney ki ijazat bhi na dey..,..sirf class difference ki wajah se...
.Mera point yehi tha.. managers would sit beside them and eat food with dem..:) ..many would infact marry them...koi difference hi nahi hai:)..infact maintenance worker can b living a luxurious life here:)....
