It was an arrangement as good as Nikah. Nothing like treating them like prostitute and presenting / sharing with others. Its Islam which came with specific orders that don't make your slaves to do prostitution. Otherwise, Arabs used to sale and earn money from prostitution of slaves. Its a detailed subject and the concept of londi is one of the most misunderstood and misused concepts.

No Its not allowed in Islam unless you can have nikah with the slaves

BTW, a general rule of thumb is when reading Quran, start with Aoudhobillah....with full intention to take Allah's refuge from Shaytaan. Because a lot of fitna today (sects and factions) came out after reading Quran without guidance where people interpret or take out meaninings that suites their mind set.

It is also recommended to read Tafseer of an authentic Aalim (for context, background and description of certain terms) to have better understanding, without having to fight with Waswaas all the time due to lack of knowledge about the context in which a certain Ayat was revealed. Its human nature to take literal meanings and first thing is that your mind goes towards negative aspect.

Just a little advise, we all go through the same, learning Quran is a life long process. Everytime you read, you find new treasures and face new questions as well.

If something makes sense, do it. If it doesn't, don't do it. Just use your brain.

In addition to what smooth_guy has said, it would help to thoroughly read the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) from various sources. It does great injustice to the Message when you do not know the Messenger. Read the Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from different sources, so you get the most amount of background. It may help in understanding the context of Quran. In Sha Allah!

No. Understand it the other way. It is allowed to have sex with any woman you perform Nikah with (except for a few relatives whom you are not allowed to get married, due to the relationship between you two), whether she is your slave, maid or even hukumraan.
