My mom came back from pakistan a couple of weeks ago and brought back all these scarves for me..she told me that that a lot of girls in pakistan wear scarves like these…she bought a lot, like 20 of them..i thought they were ok…a little too stretchy…well just got an email from this online islamic store…they had the same ones!! take a look:
there are a lot more…with different prints…they are at simplyislam.biz
afshi u're one lucky girl ....................i'm dying to find such hijabs , one of my friend got lot of them via her aunt who visited kuwait, she said such hijabs r not available in pakistan............. from where did yr mom got these in pakistan?? did u have the cap ( the best part) alongwith it ??
my mom got them from pindi.
yeah the cap is attached to the scarf part..its all one piece....i just find the cap part kinda loose..maybe my head is too small..lol...but i like the fact that they are light and not too bulky...good for shalwar kameezes with those huge duppatta....could keep the duppata on my side, and wear the hijab....
These are great - we got some in Dubai in Dec 2004 and also in Jeddah in 2005
They haven't caught on over here until quite recently....but I agree really good when you have to wear dupatta AND scarf
I also found the cap a bit loose so someone suggested taht before looping the scarf part over, grab the cap at the chin with your index finger to overlap and then tie the scarf tightly...works everytime!!
or u could hand stitch the cap from inside to make it tight ........... just stitch from anywhere along the cap radius
thanks afshi for yr input........ i'll ask my mom to look for it both in karachi & lahore
it will go smartly not just with shalwar kameez but with western attire too
i saw one in pakistan and they are available the us as well, they do fit well and look good w/ practically anything, its a nice change from usual scarves
to make the caps smaller i just pinched it tight and put a safety pin in there, its easier than altering it and more secure than tucking it under the second piece

i got scarves like these ffrom karachi.. tariq road i think... but i dont like them much... the cap doesnt fit right ... and it literally covers only up the collar bone... i like my hijabs to hang a litlle lower in the front and the back.. but i guess there good to have when u want to take the garbage out or get yur mail... just wrap these around fast... but i wouldnt wear them anywhere else...
These are pretty nice if they fit you well. I like them better if they are longer (they come in various sizes) and they cover the neck as well, so you dont have to worry about it showing like it can with your rectangular hijabs.
omg these scarves r soo pretty , inshallah i will get them too from pakistan. i love the fact that it is attached , u dont know how much trouble i go to getting everything right in the morning with my scarf !
these look nice, but the issue i have with 'em is that they dont cover you up from the front... i know most ppl wear loose abayas but still.... it feels a bit odd... I guess i'm just not comfortable with them.
my sis got similar looking ones but they are much wider so it covers up well... she bought them from gulf.... and it wasn't costly either (Rs. 250)
