KUWAIT VISA REJECTED

OK, can someone help me out here?

Hubby’s fam lives in kuwait, been loads of times before never had an issue..this time his dad applied and its been rejected…we are due to fly dubai next week and then go kuwait…now we r stuck and gnna have 2 stay in dubai…

is there anything that can be done???

What is your hubby's nationality? Kuwait has tightened it's visa rules. I know because I still am on Kuwaiti Iqama (residency). Oh and my dad goes to Kuwait every week or so.

hubby has pakistani nationality but has lived there for about 19 years and then studied here and used to go back to kuwait every 6 months...we just came back in Dec so God knows why they have rejected the visa now!! :(

I am able to go as a British national, but obv he cant

They have tightened visas for Pakistanis these days. Kuwait has a tendency to do that. They relax visas for Pakistanis and then suddenly out of the blue it's like no. Very had to do that. Can he try getting a Kuwaiti visa from Dubai?

so annoying...

gnna have to stay in Dubai for 9 days now instead of 4!

Did they tell him why the visa was rejected? I know that authorities in Gulf countries usually don't tell you the reason for a visa rejection, but sometimes you might be lucky to find a nice person there, who actually does his job and informs you properly.

One of my colleagues (Pakistani national, been to Kuwait dozens of times) had his Kuwait visa rejected, because his passport was due to expire in 5 months and 2 weeks. And the rule is, that the passport has to be valid for at least another 6 months. In his case at least they told him the reason, so even though he couldn't attend the meeting he was supposed to go to, at least he knew what to do to avoid this for the future.

No they havent said why his visa has been rejected :( They just told his dad that its rejected and gave him a reciept...apparently they didnt even bother explaining the reason or providing the documentation back...so rude!! Irritates me i swear!

Anyways, nothing can be done now unfortunately...but thanks for your help guys

I thought so. Unfortunately that kind of behavior is quite common among Khaleejis (people from the Gulf countries). It's a bit better in the UAE, but Kuwait and Saudi are really bad when it comes to dealing with those guys, who are supposed to be "public servants".

It's sad to hear that your travel plans have been disturbed by this. Really unfortunate. Try to make the best out of it and enjoy Dubai. :)
