I think its by Allama Iqbal. One of his earliest poetry.
**i don't think so...this Ghazal is NOT reflective of his style...it has been erroneously associated with Iqbal on the net...i have a copy of 'allaamah Iqbal's Deevan and i've searched it entirely [page by page] just for this purpose and i did NOT find this Ghazal in there.
and, as i said it's NOT by 'allaamah Iqbal...
...there is another poet *Iqbal Safipuri* whose pen-name is Iqbal and his work is oftem mistakenly associated with 'allaamah...here is one such example which is being circulated on the net:
****koii samajhaayiye k kiaa rang hai maiKhaane kaa
aaNkh saaqii kii uThe, naam ho paimaane kaa
garmii-e-shamm'a kaa afasaana sunaanevaalo
raqs dekhaa nahiiN tum ne abhii paravaane kaa
chashm-e-saaqii mujhe har gaam pe yaad aatii hai
raastaa bhuul na jaauuN kahiiN maiKhaane kaa
ab to har shaam guzartii hai isii kuuche meN
ye natiijaa huaa, naaseh! tere samajhaane kaa
ab to manzil se guzarnaa to hai aasaa.N, *"Iqbal" *
ishq hai naam Khud apne se guzar jaane kaa**
^ Thanks for clarifying. I was also confused for this, as Allama's earlier kalam including 'Tere ishq ki inteha chahta hoon', ' Tumne Aaghaz e muhabbat main socha hoga' are in different style than his latest poetry.
