KSE Index crosses 11000 points barrier

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-Index crossed 11000 points barrier first time in its history.
The last day of the business week in the market was opened with 61 points jump in the Index, which went up with hectic trading in banking and cement sector. The bullish trend later extended to the oil and gas, textile and other sectors pushing the benchmark index to hit the 11000 landmark.
D.G. Khan Cement, MCB and Nishat Mills shares were the major focus of the trading. The Index will cross 12000 points during 2006, market analysts have predicted.
