Kryolan TV stick

I am getting married soon I hav been using very light coverage liquid foundation so far but for the shaadi purpose I was recommended to get the hold on Kryolan TV stick for full coverage!

I have bought it already for practicing, will leave this here for my sister and get a new one for my shaadi but girls please tell me whats the best way of applying it?

I am applying it for like last three days(had to attend a wedding) what I am doing is first I apply the moisturiser then I apply the stick and blend it with fingers then I use a wet sponge and blend it more and then apply face powder with the face powder brush in circular motion BUT BUT for the three events I went I felt I was perfectlly fine on the first day I applied it and cracked alot on second day :bummer: and was just ok on the third day.

please tell me whats the best way of applying a Stick Foundation?

Re: Kryolan TV stick

This foundation is super duper heavy, I use it as concealer. I applied it to a bride once and I found that using a primer underneath, preferably a silicon-ish one, really helped blend the foundation MUCH more easily. Wash your face well, moisturize, apply a primer, then apply the foundation and blend with your fingers. To set it, use a translucent powder or any other fine powder. Using a heavy coverage foundation powder like the MAC studio fix for example would make it look too caked up, so avoid those.

Re: Kryolan TV stick

yeah i used mac studio fix which was the mistake i guess.

siliconish primer? can you please tell me the brand and name of product? it has to be available in Pk or in UK.

Re: Kryolan TV stick

^Any good primer should suffice. By silicon-ish I meant something that sort of feels slippery after applying. I used two faced primed and poreless primer. If that's not available, you can use MUF's, it feels very similar on the skin.

Re: Kryolan TV stick

apply face primer, then apply dots all over your face with the foundation, take a small foundation brush(not stippling brush) and blend it with it evenly to the skin. Use less foundation, and then apply an extra layer on acne scars or freckles. Maybe sure you blend the foundation well. For a heavy coverage foundation I suggest you use a translucent powder.

Re: Kryolan TV stick

i mean real user!

Re: Kryolan TV stick

I use DMGM primer, and its pretty good, and easy to find too. I use it before my Kryolan stick, has a velvety texture. As for the stick application, i use it with wet sponge, as it helps in good blending and keeping it stay for long hours. Brush up with translucent powder and little highlights at cheek bones, this help me in good coverage and glowing face, rather cakey or white :P

Re: Kryolan TV stick

thank you for your feedback samaya

Re: Kryolan TV stick

^ where can you buy the kryolan stick and how do you know what color to pick? i'm a MAC NC30/ NC35

Re: Kryolan TV stick

i usually use the ivory shade.....its perfect for giving a flawless look BUT only if applied properly, otherwise look AWFUL if not applied properly...

Re: Kryolan TV stick

me too use it in ivory! bt now i m thinking its giving me white heads type of thingy! :(

Re: Kryolan TV stick

Apply stick foundation directly on to the skin, then using a wet sponge blend out.x

Re: Kryolan TV stick

Your skin has to be really moisturized well if you're going to use the Kryolan foundation stick and use a great primer too, I find the stick really heavy and dry. If you can try the Bobbi Brown foundation sticks they give full coverage too but don't cause 'cracks' or dry patches after a while. Set-it with translucent powder for a less 'cakey' look.

Re: Kryolan TV stick

thank you Gina and Colorful eyes! i will definitely try your tips! :)

Re: Kryolan TV stick
