How do you girls mix the foundation stick on the face? Damp sponge? Like beauty blender?

I use a Damp Sponge and specifically this one:

I cant use triangle ones
I make sure my sponge is wet. I then apply the stick on face, level it with the sponge, sprinkle water from spray bottle and let it dry naturally, when it is dried, I apply the other foundation. For heavy look, I keep repeating this procedure for a heavy and smooth look until my desired coat!!
