Chitrangada Singh Walks Out of Krrish 2
Chitrangada Singh has walked out of the film. Rakesh Roshan says due to delay in filming from October to December, she had her dates clashing with another project she was committed to.
“I was to start my film in October and took dates accordingly. Now, the film is going on floors in December and Chitrangda is having some problems with her dates then. She has already committed her dates to some other project in December and cannot delay it. So I am looking for some actor who can give the dates according to my schedule,” Roshan told Mumbai Mirror.
A source close to Chitrangada says the actress quit the film because the final script had her role reduced to just a cameo and she does not have time for cameos.
Senior Roshan and Hrithik Roshan have short listed Jacqueline Fernandez for the role. The duo met her for a script reading session which "stretched for over three hours. They discussed the script and the actress was quite keen. By the end, both Hrithik and Rakesh seemed to be quite positive about her,” says a source.

Film Rights Sold Out in Pre-Production Stage
There are reports that the film’s rights in India have been sold to multiple distributors. Eros haspurchased the international rights. Mumbai area remains with Rakesh Roshan himself. The TV rights have been sold to a channel at a price higher than Aamir Khan got for 3 Idiots, reports MumbaiMirror.
Film’s music, by Rajesh Roshan, has been sold to T-Series at Rs 5crore deal. (July 15, 2011)

Chitrangada Singh Signed as Second Female Lead?
The Mumbai Mirror reported on March 29, 2011 that Chitrangada Singh has been signed as second female lead in the film.
Hrithik Roshan confirmed that scripting is under progress, over his Twitter account on May 26.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Rakesh Roshan are independently working on the script for the film. Whoever comes up with a better script will direct the film also.
For the film’s special effects, the Roshans want to hire the same team that worked on Avataar. DNA reported in April 2010 that the father - son duo will travel to the US to negotiate.
They are also contemplating making the film in 3D
