KP gets Rs1.5 b bonus for best financial management
**
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Senior Minister, Sirajul Haq, on Thursday said the province got Rs1.5 billion as bonus in reward for its best financial management, which is a recognition of the provincial government performance.
The KP government’s financial management was adjudged the best among all the federating units, which was why the province was awarded Rs1.5 billion extra from its due share in the allocations for the provinces, he told reporters after launching the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) at the Finance Department here.
He said the government was trying its best to ensure transparency and good governance and the activation of KPPRA was a step toward this end. The Right to Information law was also a big achievement of the government to make public access to information easy, he added.
