How does an independent Kosovo possibly wekaen Russia or act as a base against Russia? Kosovo is far, far, far away from Russia and the USA has anti-Russian allies much closer to the Russian border in Poland and the Baltic states that joined NATO.

Secularism? There's a lot of Wahabi influence there sponsored by the great American ally Saudi Arabia, just like in Bosnia. The only way for to be peace in the newly independent Kosovo is to displace the Serbian population already there.

Yes, wahabism is having an influence in Kosovo, but a large portion of their population remains secular. (Read up on it Ali_R before making ignorant statements)

Yes, but for how long? Serbian resistance to this will push the Kosovars to further radicalism. Al-Qaeda type of people will rush to defend their Kosovar brothers.

That's a weak argument. There's been a long precedent of regions declaring independence, including Eritrea from Ethiopia, Slovenia from Yugoslavia, Bangladesh from Pakistan, Ireland from the UK, Montenegro from Serbia etc, East Timor from Indonesia, etc.
The difference in Kosovo is that the region declaring independence was under the control of international forces. None of Russia's seperatist regions are under internation control, by contrast; the Russian Army has firm control.
