I have a friend who seems to copy stuff that I do and I find it annoying.
It’s like I’ve bought things years ago, and suddenly she’s started buying them and then raves about them to me as if it’s something totally new to us.
Or interests, things that I have been in to for years, now she is as well, she goes on about them as if I have no idea what they are.
Am I being petty?
I find it really irritating cos it’s not just one thing, it seems to be everything,
like the makeup I have/buy to the TV programs I watch, to the music I listen to.
She get’s in to it, and then makes herself out to be a bigger fan than I am, and goes on and on about it, as if it’s something she’s know about or done for years, when in fact it’s not.
Does anyone else have similar issues with people??
depends how close u r to ur friend…if i was really close to her i’ll jus tell her as it is and tell her its annoying me…and then make up with her and make sure she din mind me at all saying that…
or im good at ignoring these things…and im good at avoiding this friend of mine too…
aliyah to me its a petty thing…ur a bigger better person then this…hwever i know it an get annoying if sumbody copies things of u and show offs like they knew it before…i know 2 of my anties who copied off eachother and they both were annoyed in between then one of them confronted the other and the other one sed ‘YOUR THE ONE COPYING ME’…and it turned out to be a huuuugggeee issue…they havnt talked to eachother in 10 years…
so like i sed it entirley depends how deep is ur frinedship sweety..
If you take a step back, you'll see that its actually a complement to you. Your friend thinks you do things so nicely that she wants to be JUST like you! If it gets to you, you can always help her out a bit by saying something like "well this is a good color/outfit/whatever for ME, but you would look SO great in THIS (whatever)".

doesnt the other person (the kopykat one) have brilliant ideas for herself or dus she not have nuf brain cells to cum up with her own things…i* hate* copycats…
well its only a compliment when he/she admits it as well. Instead, going on around n pretend that he/she came up with the ideas. I had a fren who did such thing - I ended up distancing from that person. Funny thing was our common frens noticed n complimented that she is the one copyin me :roman:
