Ask them who judge sahaba. But I know you wont do that because you too belongs to them.
He mentions that you can celebrate death of opponent, its not sufficient for you. Even if his name was mentioned, it couldnt make any difference to you. Rest of the people may find it informative.
If you can judge them because they judge sahabah; then why don't you also judge Muawiyah abusing and cursing Ali who was not just a sahabi but also a maula of every Muslim, and the khalifah e rashid?
If you can't judge a person like Muawiyah then you capable of judging no one.
Your logic for the right to make judgment is circular logic. There is no end to this line of reasoning.
It's a waste of time for me to continue arguing on this matter.
And you don't have to judge where I belong. If one makes judgments based on what has been taught by his family then there is absolutely no reason to argue at all.
I say what I believe is true. I won't argue if I don't believe in it, whether it was by my family or not.
Can you do that too?
Najafi's statement is a general one. Not only does he mention the death of some enemy of God; but also he mentions the 'sawab' or niaz of some imam. But you picked the first part and left the other one.
If he meant the death of Muawiyah then there must be some reference in the books saying that Muawiyah died on 22nd Rajab.
Where are those references?
The falsehood of this claim that 22nd Rajab has any connection to Muawiyah, is evident when one sees that this is the niaz of Imam Jafar Sadiq. If it was related to Muawiyah then it should have been the niaz of Imam Ali.
If you can judge them because they judge sahabah, then why don't you also judge Muawiyah abusing and cursing Ali who was not just a sahabi but also a maula of every Muslim, and the khalifah e rashid?
It is circular logic. There is no end to this line of reasoning.
We can see difference between criticizing and abusing, maybe you cannot.
Don’t you know the famous hadees where it is said that one who start a bad tradition will be responsible for sins of those ho follow such tradition.
By this Muawaiya did started a very bad tradition of cursing and abusing Ali. You might refer to words ‘sab o sh!tam’ which has been referred by Molana Maududi while referring to the tradition initiated by power hungry Ummayads. You might have heard word ‘shatim e rasool’ for Rushdie and Salman Taseer. This shatim is gustakh. Now if Muawiya started this sab o sh!tam for Ali and his family, he might be treated first Shatim e Sahaba.
Rest of the case has been explained by @khoji very well.
I definitely can’t follow your philosophy of telling lies to children just to keep holy cows intact.
So you think shia are right on abusing sahaba.
Please no behas baraye behas
How did Muawiya abuse Ali?
Neither Muawiya was right to introduce a bad tradition nor today's shia are right to follow that tradition (whether they call it reaction or a pre-requisite to show their affection for ahl e bait). A bad tradition will remain bad irrespective of time and the person who practiced it.
For Muawiya's shab o sh!tam, just go though Maududi saheb's 'Khilafat o Mamlukiyat'. For your information, this book is based on earlier historical books like Al-Bidaya wa'l-Nihaya - Tarikh ibn Kathir. For complete understanding of the matter, you can also refer to a book Mufti Taqi Usmani in rebuttal to Maududi saheb's book.
Read account in Sahi Muslim of Muawiya ordering killing of a senior companion of the Prophet. Muawiya in his court asked Hujr and his son to curse Ali and upon their refusal they were both brutally put to death.
