If you don't know about something, it is better to refrain from saying anything then making a fool out of yourself.
Koonday is a niaz of Hazrat Jafar Sadaiq. He used to arrange a dastarkhawan and it would be open to all sorts of people..rich, poor, muslim, non-muslim. The niaz is made in metti keah bartan and those pots are called koonday. Hence, people started calling the niaz koonday.
This niaz is another example of our imams promoting unity b/w different social classes within a society.
I have seen both Shias and Sunnis offering this niaz in the month of Rajab.

btw, does anyone happen to know how to make those meeti tikiyan that are served at the koonday ki niaz with kheer??? im sure someones mom knows how to make themmm, please get me the recipe if you can :) TIA!!!

ye wo walay koonday hein jo pakistan mein log i dont remember but kisi special day pr bnaty hein kuch pakaya jata he or sab ko khilaya jata he for sawab ....
n iskay ilawa or b bohat kuch kiya jata he....i personally dont like it......
