It is worthy to mention the fact that the actual film industry in Pakistan has churned out a whopping 1 sci fi endeavor in the past two decades. That was "shaani," an extrateresstrial that landed in....rural punjab as opposed to anywhere else on the world. Go figure.
THIS film however comes not from the Lollywood entity, as the entity has lost credibility and has dwindled to a few silly Indian movie style (bollywood) musicals. No, This comes from a new crop of digital film makers, emboldened by cheaper technologies and cameras. This would be atleast the third attempt at sci fi/post apocalyptic story telling from the young filmmakers of Karachi and Lahore. The old cinema simply does not exist in that country
