Re: Koffee With Karan Season 3
why do i feel that he is jealous of SRK ???
I haven't watched the interview, so I don't know if he's jealous. But it's possible that the jealous vibe is due to SRK and Kajol being considered a perfect onscreen pair. Kind of like Aamir and Juhi.......Raveena and Akshay.....back in the day, lol. SRK and Kajol were thought by many to look good together...that they compliment one another....and they were together in several movies that turned out to be successful.
A former friend of mine (who is a SRK and Kajol fan) had this theory that Kajol had a crush on SRK and that she got that vibe from her when she watched their interactions (before she married Devgan).
If the "jealousy" has nothing to do with Kajol.........then it could just be insecurity based on profession (one star being more recognized/successful/popular than the other, etc)....or some career related conflicts.

I also thought the same that it must be because of kajol and SRK's amazing on and off screen chemistry.
and as far as the crush thingy is concerned so that must be true also:)cuz most of the heroines of bollywood have a crush on him and they admit it openly:)

yeah exactly my question.they always keep talking about it.
Re: Koffee With Karan Season 3

Re: Koffee With Karan Season 3

I don't think so...he said it in the interview that he doesn't interact with anyone...he is not an outgoing, party person.
As for the crush, Shahrukh was married even before he came in to bollywood. While in some interview at time of DDLJ Shahrukh said that he loves Kajol as his kid sister...so their chemistry/friendship has been like that only. Ajay and Kajol took their time and Kajol fell in love with Ajay Devgan in 10 days (as stated by Karan on his show)...and the guy seems like a practical person...he took his time and let his relationship reach a certain level before he decided to settle down with her - there was never love and instant marriage sorta thing. So he has never had any problems according to my theory...Shahrukh went to their wedding as well...
And there shouldn't be any career conflicts as well since both their styles of working and the kind of movies they do are totally different..

My former friend, who came up with this theory also said that SRK said that he saw her as a sister. She's a fan of both stars...and I think she wishes they were a pair in real life. According to her...people were thrilled by their onscreen chemistry and starting linking them together.....to which SRK became uncomfortable and said that she's like his sister...to put to rest any ideas, etc. Now my friend thinks that since he was already married...there was no real need for him to refer to her as a sister.
Also, it's just a theory. A theory is not fact, it's debatable. Moreover, it wasn't my theory to begin with...i was mentioning someone else's thoughts.
Now, it could indeed be that Kajol never had any romantic interest in SRK whatsoever.
But what I'm going to challenge is your idea that just because a person is married and practical and doesn't interact much with others.....that no other person can have a crush or attraction toward them. I'm not referring specifically to Kajol and SRK here. I'm speaking in a general sense. It can and does happen....that one can develop a crush on a person of a different religion, who is already married or in a relationship, or who is completely opposite in personality.

Woah! Chill...dil pay lay liya tumne toh. Everyone who likes them wished/wishes that they were a couple in real life as well. Shahrukh is not the kind of person who would say something like this only because people were thrilled and started wishing to see them together in real life...like from the way he is with all his female co-stars etc...he’s pretty comfortable and not worried or scared of his wife as well. And i don’t remember any rumour about them both in such a way that would make anyone insecure in any which way...so they weren’t and aren’t scared of anything as far as I know...and both of them keep on saying is openly how fond they are of each other etc.
Also, it's just a theory. A theory is not fact, it's debatable. Moreover, it wasn't my theory to begin with...i was mentioning someone else's thoughts. Now, it could indeed be that Kajol never had any romantic interest in SRK whatsoever. .
I never said that its a fact or anything to be taken serious...you stated a point and I just gave you my point of view not to prove you wrong or anything but just to give tell you what I thought about it. And its a forum for such exchange of dialog etc so no need to get serious.

And again I never said she couldn’t, I just said that the kind of comfort and relationship they share and from whatever seen on screen, interviews and even rumours’ it’s been clear that they are great friends and all but they’ve never had a crush or anything of that sort for each other...never heard of it...And who said that just because a person is married someone can’t have a crush on him/her...or the other way round – I have a crush on Shahrukh Khan too - its feelings we’re talking about and you can’t control them...they just come to you...But we’re not talking general here and it was about Shahrukh/Kajol/Ajay thing so I was talking for that perspective.
Re: Koffee With Karan Season 3
^Teelo, I wasn't upset. In fact, I started my post off by acknowledging that my friend was aware of the interview that you mentioned. And I even acknowledged your idea that they may have never been anything more than just friends. I like Kajol...but I'm on and off about SRK...sometimes I like him....sometimes I find him annoying. I think they make a good on-screen pair.....and while for some reason I'm not all too crazy about Gauri.....at the same time it doesn't bother me that SRK and Kajol are not a couple in real life. I really don't care that they aren't...so "dil pe leni wali" ko baat hi nahin. Again, I was just discussing someone else's views and perhaps even desires.
The only thing that I was challenging (and I wasn't upset about it) was the idea that a person in general (not just a celebrity).....can't be attracted to.... or have a crush on someone whom the odds of having a relationship with are slim to none.
Re: Koffee With Karan Season 3
Oh okay, I thought you are and i didn't want any argument...I gave my point of view to one of the posts by the thread starter and she just created a mountain out of a mole hill - tab say mein ghabra see gayi hoon :D Toh i just wanted to make sure that you aren't pissed or take me wrong; Because I know that i am at a stage where i might like a star/actor but at the same time i am not a die hard fan nor an immature one who can't take any criticism against my favorite...i can just give my feedback/what i have read and heard but definitely don't care If someone else doesn't like them or has a different opinion. Waisay i don't like Gauri either...And well i am old enough to understand that when working in films you just do one scene as your told to do so...the whole setup, situation etc is fake and then there are songs and over the top flamboyant sets and clothes so obviously the chemistry is automatically really good...while their personal lives are completely different and the whole equation changes...so yeah i don't care much.
And I totally agree with the part that you challenged - I have such a crush on someone hehehe :D...but i was just saying that you can have a crush on whoever you want regardless of anything...but also in order to have a crush on someone that someone has to be similar to what you like him/her to be, look, dress, talk, behave etc...you know what I mean - while every other actress is in love with Shahrukh these days is because of obviously the kind of films he does, wealth, the way he dresses, the cars he drives and everything else along with his way of talking and treating women...but at that time he wasn't such a big star nor did he have a huge fan following...And he didn't even look that good back then toh issi liyeh i said that he was married and not the same SRK he is today...toh that might have been a reason why there was just friendship and no attraction. Baki saanu ke.

did he say that for srk? if so i guess it means that the khan who has appeared in all seasons of koffee with karan.
Re: Koffee With Karan Season 3
^I don't think that is what he meant...KHAN of all Seasons comes from the phrase "Man for all seasons". I didn't know how to explain it properly so I googled it and this is what it means :
It means "a man for all occasions, whether happy or serious". It's a quotation by Robert Whittington, a contemporary of More, who in 1520 said: "More is a man of an angel's wit and singular learning. I know not his fellow. For where is the man of that gentleness, lowliness and affability? And, as time requireth, a man of marvelous mirth and pastimes, and sometime of as sad gravity. A man for all seasons."
