KODAK CX4300 3.2mp

i’ve bought that camera but i’m going to get it this monday. i know it doesn’t have any optical zoom but i don’t think i’m going to need it anyways.
however, the price that i’m getting is really really good.
only $180 canadian.

so what do u guyz think??n e first hand experience using the camera, anyone???

For a 3.2MP camera to have no optical zoom should be a criminal offence. Then again, for a 100-150 buck digicam, it packs quite a punch.

Good luck and post some pics once you get hold of it.

is that price including shipping+taxes etc?

Faisal it really depends how one wants to use their camera.. better a camera with excellent PQ and other useful options than have optical zoom on a crappy lens with missing features..

Since i'm only going to use this camera to take pictures of my friends and family, i reckon this is a good camera for me.
i mean why would u need optical zoom when the person u'r taking picture of is only like 3 metres away!?!

because some people dont like having a camera in their face. cameras are like luxury cars. when you buy one, get the options. Or in the case of cameras - zoom.

Try sticking a camera 3 meters in front of someone. You'll see.

P.S. that Kodak produces **** shots at 3m. Better buy a $1 magnify glass and place it infront of the "lens".

it's ok not to have optical zoom.. most group shots require you to have a wider angle and working with the fixed lens is fine.... if that's all you'd be doing.. group shots or other wide angled shots..

While Zooms give you flexibility most of the times it's at the expense of lens quality.

Typically low-end cameras are without optical zooms. But its quite unusual to see a 3.2MP cam without opt zoom. Its not that one can't live without opt zoom, but its just something which is taken forgranted in cams of 2MP plus.

In the absence of opt zoom, the photographer will have to move forward and backward to capture the frame of his choice. Not a biggie, but just inconvenient.

Then again, the results of the camera are ok, per reviewers, and the price is a bargain for a 3.2MP... so all in all, not a bad deal.
