Is Kobo books application legal ? Quite a few books are free and you can purchase some others at a minimal price. I'm curious as to whether it's legal and the authors get their share from it??

I've read this name for the first time.
So I googled and found they are owned by Rakuten. Thats a reliable name. I dont think there should be any doubts about their legitimacy. They are Canada based. I think you should be good to use.
Its not for Kindle obviously due to professional conflict but there are workarounds available. Do you use it on phone?
Ok LP let me explain. You know Kindle right? The eReader tablet by amazon? So from what I read, the Kobo app is not there for Kindle yet. If Kindle user insist on using Kobo, they'll have to use that workaround.
But say you have iPad, samsung galaxy or if you are using smartphones, you can definitely use Kobo without any problem. Does it help?
