Well those will be websites which provide you with knowledge on one or more topics. Wikipedia (see #2) is one such. If there's a particular topic you are interested in post it aqui and someone will find a knowledgeable site about it.

A knowledge based system collects/archives problems and their solution pertaining to a certain field. For example, the tech support sites. On computing tech support sites, you can find knowledge about problems and their solutions related to computers. These sites archive solutions previously found so that future users can benefit from this knowledge-base. FAQs are an example of knowledge-based systems.
