**It's that time of the year — lit fest time, to be precise.**
Kicking off on February 5, the Karachi Literature Festival (held at The Beach Luxury Hotel) is now in its seventh year and going strong.
Here’s what to look forward to and what to be wary of.
- Books will launch and re-launch
- Some sessions will be grossly general
- With few international authors, Nandita Das and Laxmi Tripathi add star power
- Cinema and TV get their due
- Art is a strong presence on the agenda
- Prizes will be awarded
- Special performances

Anupum Kher visa application was rejected by Pakistani embassy in Dehli… :hmmm:
Twitter pegham of Anupum:
Anupam Kher
** @******ANUPAM**Pkher **** “Delay is the deadliest form of denial.”
** However, the Pakistan High Commission stated on Twitter that Kher never applied for a Pakistani visa:**
PakNewDelhi @Paknewdelhi
It may be clarified that PHC never received Mr Kher's visa application. So the question of issuing or denying him visa does not arise.

Visa woes: Anupam Kher won’t be attending the Karachi Literature Festival - Art & Culture
