There is no such Ayah in the Quran about distinguishing seasons as far as I know.

what i learned was, the time will pass quickly, months will be like weeks and weeks will be like days...
and i believe that time has come, not talking about anyone else, it was yesterday, when i left Pakistan now it is six years... where did that whole time went, i have no idea...

^ swift passig of time isjusta SIGN OF HOW FAST PACED LIFE IS TODAY... it has nothing to do with THE END OF TIMES... what cud b the signs are GLOBAL WARMING, INCREASING WAR TENSIONS ACCROSS THE WORLD, NUCLEAR WEAPONS etc etc... as far as lack of morales go... i believe they've been a part of society since ever..
Its interesting how every religion talks abotu the END OF DAYS... christianity and islam talk abt it.. hinduism says the same (we're supposed to be in KALIYUGA.. last stages of the earth).. but no1 gives a clear timeline.. or even any estimates.. it could b 100 years and it could be 1000 years...

The knowledge about end of time (& death) is only with Allah. And it is hidden for a reason. It wudn't make sense if we knew the exact time. That way, each generation can just do whatever they want and "repent" towards the end (if they're still living).

o really? then why was the concept of END OF TIMES revealed to us? y dint allah keep that knowledge with him tooo.. this is very VERY naughty of him.. to tell us abt the END OF TIMES but not give us any hints to as in WHEN...
Anyway.. seriously speaking.. a couple of my hindu friends told me there r ways in their books to calculate the number of years in every 'yuga'.. but the Kali yuga lasts a LOOOOONG time according to them.... I was told the SAME thing by one of my eastern european friends (countries there had their own religion pre-christianity... which is quite similar to Zoroastrianism, Hinduism and Ancient Greek religion)... that the last stage of earth lasts a few hundred thousand years or sumthing..
EDIT - Okay, according to Hinduism.. Kaliyuga started around 3100 BC.. and its supposed to last around 432,000 years.. according to this we still have 429,000 years to go... yay ! go humanity !! but then again... is this the number of years before the EARTH collapses? or Humanity collapses? For example, around 10-15000 years ago there has supposed to be this BIG FLOOD (described in many religions) that wiped out most humanity... if sumthing llike this wud happen again... that could be the END OF HUMANITY but not necessariliy the END OF EARTH...

To make us realize that there is a purpose to life. If He didn't warn us, then we'd be left without any prior notice. And if He told us the exact time, then we'd do as we please and then suddenly become "righteous" towards the end. Thats like saying "O why did teacher tell us about the exam. Why didn't he/she keep it to his/herself. And now that he/she told us, he/she shud've also given us the answers to the exam. This is indeed very "naughty" of the teacher"
Those Hindu friends of yours can calculate all they want but the knowledge is only with God and no one knows when the end of times will be. So its really up to you, you can either believe or reject. So Peace :)

VI, do you know when you will get sick, have accident or die with your "open- headed thought. If you know then we can discuss. As a muslim the Quran teach us in surah 1 Ayat 3 "Master of the Day of Judgment" Surah 2 Ayat 3 "Those who beleieve in the unseen.........). how it is from close headed people. Unless one do not beleieve in it.

there is hadith that i read (dont have the exact reference) which says that qiyamat will not come until jazeerat-ul-arab does not return to its green state just like it once was....
surely the hadith implies dramatic climatic changes....
this year we had so much rain that i have no seen so much rain in bahrain in all my life here....
