I was using tape for something and had spread it out on the area. My kitten was not around me then but came to see what I was up to and got tape stuck to its paw. It is a large piece of tape. I have tried using scissors to cut it off but it seems like it is stuck to its skin as well. It is licking it trying to get it off itself but I am afraid that the adhesive might be poisonous for the poor thing. It just sneezed six or seven times in a row and is looking listless.
What should I do? I don’t want to rip it off, mostly because it is stuck over a large area. Is there something I can put on the cat that will make the tape come off easily and without pain?

if you freeze it, it will come off easily BUT you dun wanna do that so take ur cat to a vet.

Try giving her a bath with warm watter. Not an expert in the area but thats the first thought that came in mind.

Sorry that was a typo in my first post - the tape is stuck to its leg, not on its paw.
Bath... the poor baby hates them and has never been given a bath before (just sponge cleaning at the most).
Vet is not an option right now either, for many reasons.
More suggestions appreciated.

So the tape is prolly stuck to its fur, just cut the fur, it'll grow back

Try some vegetable oil, that dissolves other sticky things so maybe would work on tape.

Warm water, even sponge should work too. Can help dilute the adhesive. Or do what gamma does.

Definitely try to put some oil between the tape and skin, that should help. Or get some goo gone and pour that on the tape.

if all else fails...I agree with tofi...just cut the hair off ...it'll grow back in no time.
