Guys , inshallah on Monday i have to finalize the kitchen worktop ..I need your advise …
Which worktop material/type do you recomend? what do you use currently?
I have my heart set on laminate gloss , coz they last longer, easier to clean and are well in budget and the gloss brings and oomph in the kitchen …
But if I were to look the next best thing, what do you recomend would that be?

i have granite countertops in my kitchen. i think they're great! they look really nice and keep for a long time.
the granite also brings a gloss to the countertop. also with granite, you can put a hot pot/dish on it, and it won't ruin the material.
oh, and whatever you chose, make sure that it's not too light of a colour (we use haldi in our cooking, and the colour tends to stain quickly), but not too dark of a colour (so that you can't see anything on the counter). we have a marble mix colour..so light and dark, and it works well.

Mine is of aluminum…pretty strong and supposed to be durable… :k:

Currently I have oak worktops which are a pain to maintain, I feel they are more for kitchens that don't see much cooking. I'm toying with the idea of getting them tiled over but struggling to find a tiler who will do the job just how I want.
When I get my next kitchen I'll get granite.

Thanks guys … I have seen granite in the market , it doesnt seem glossy … more on the matt side
