I envy ppl who work in a kitchen together, saas n bahu,cousins or friends even as i,m more comfortable working alone…

I absolutely hate being alone in the kitchen. Even if the other people are not helping they can just sit and hangout or watch TV.

with friends .. cuz my mum doesnt let me touch half the things in the kitchen

I get distracted if they're too many people with me in the kitchen, i'm more productive when i'm on my own.

on my own... other ppl can give me company but i like to cook alone with no help...too many cooks spoiled the broth.

alone and i don't envy those saas bahu who work in a group, i feel sorry for them.

Alone please. I do not like too many people around me in the kitchen. Keeping me company is fine and helping me chop or something minor is even okay. But more than that is not helpful.

I have no problem working in a group (or at least my sisters and mum). I come from a family of women and we've cooked for huge (500-600+ people) events, so we're quite used to cooking together.

Even making something like Sunday morning eggs and toast brunch, who ever is handy will pitch in and the work gets done in a fraction of the time.

I don't mind being in the kitchen with sis/mum, but there has to be one person in charge! Usually it is my mum, and she will just ask me to chop or mainly clean up as she is cooking, which I don't mind as it keeps her company. With my sister it can get a bit annoying, as i become her personal slave, lol, so if she is cooking I just let her get on with it, although tbh I don't really do any actual cooking that often!

I like working in a group, but i dont like the butting in with what im cooking.

I mostly prefer if they just sit and give me company, but chopping etc then im happy :)

Usually I like working on my own in the kitchen, gives me some time to think about things. I can't stand it if I'm making something and someone else comes along and handi may chamach maray or tell do this/that. But on occassions where we've got lots of people over obviously any help would be more than welcomed.

I'm terrible at multi tasking...so if someone comes in to the kitchen for a chat or to help out, it just completely slows the pace i'm working at. I can't concentrate on two things together. I either end up ignoring my company or the task at hand.

Does anyone else have this problem?

i don't mind working in a group... its fun. And u get lots of help :) usually its Me, MIL, SIL...

Same here. I prefer cooking alone rather love cooking alone. Even when guests are over & the ladies come to chit chat & all I have to do is warm up the naan it takes twice as much time.

I can work with a group but that is if I am the one cleaning & cutting & not cooking.
