Although it's not a big deal if you don't know how to cook before getting married I'd say it's a BIG plus and it's a skill that you'll definitely use a lot later when you have a family so why not start learning now? Also to make you feel better, I thought I was a pro at cooking but when I got married I had to learn cooking all over again MIL's way so yeah that happens too a lot of times. :)
