Kitchen gadget of the week ?

I was sick and tired of fumbling with seikhs and skewers to make kababs . I saw this nice little gadget at Ross and picked 2 dozens of them. Yes I have frequent BBQ parties so need that many.

This 21st century gadgets known as kebob baskets, non stick , no issues with kababs sticking or getting perfectly round kabasbs off the skewers. No mess , no falling kababs, no problem with turning them around on all four sides. Here is the picture. I got mine from Ross, Bed Bath and Beyond , and Garden Ridge has them .
I hope someone starts making them in Pakistan making seikh kababs will be so easy.

P.S. Mods can make it a sticky if they want and I will share other amazing gadgets every week which I have experience with.
Others are free to share too. But please make sure that you PM your post to me so that we post raving and ranting about one gadget per week and keep this thread going for many , many years.

Re: Kitchen gadget of the week ?

I always thought that one reason for using metal skewers was to make sure the meat cooked on the inside as well....since tikkas are not cooked for that long. Having a hot skewer run through the boti makes it cook from the inside as well. But yes, this is a neat gadget.

Re: Kitchen gadget of the week ?

Are these baskets available in the UK?

Right temperature and right timing is the key to cooking anything from inside out .
Shesh kabab skewers are so thin that this concept of piercing the meat is irrelevant . You call if you want to do it the old fashioned way or with this 21st century gadget that is fine.

Walmart , Amazon and many other online retailer sell them.

Thanks for your compliments , I will try my best.
