Guys, this is the kitchen I might get eventually :hmmm: .. its high gloss creme and aubergine kitchen … what say ? the Kitchen will be L - shaped …

what kind of decor can go with it? i think its going to be hard to find aubergine shades in the market :hmmm:

I like it CB! but personally I would go for smaller handles (just my opinion). I take it you will have spotlights?

I think if you cant find aubergine stuff then you should try and match with the flooring/worktops. Also try John Lewis because they always have kitchenware in lots of different colours.

I am so trying to get a deep red in high gloss instead of aubergine … deep red like maroon color … that would totally make my day …

We have cream floor tiles , so I think the creme cabinets on the top will reall go well .. hai na ?

Guys how would a full maroon accented wall , with creme cabinets look like?

I have another idea as well .. wondering if its any good though … see in the aubergine kitchen pic , the worktop is dark brown … perhaps I can pick that colour to do the garden curtains and a table runner on the dining ? :hmmm:

I love plum, aubergine shades..:wub: plan to refurbish our furniture in Pak on our next visit in these shades. btw what happened to red or you want to add both colors?

Masi , I realised the Red I had in mind is not really red , but high gloss maroonish red .. you know what i mean? :hmmm:

and that red is very very expensive here in the UK :frowning: … might slide out of our budget … so if the aubergine kitchen guys decide to give me the maroon red instead of aubergine in the same price , I will be over the moon … but slim chances of that :crying:

OK , peeplan -e - GS , I need your serious advise …

I have to decide within today and tomorrow what i want :smack: … and I cant decide… so please tell me frankly which option should I choose :

**Cabinets: **
1- Full Aubergine
2- Aubergine and Creme cabinets

Worktop:
1- Brown
2- White
3- Black

Full Aubergine will be far too much IMO, we have a black/white theme in ours and trust me, placing even just a few contrast cabinets will really make the kitchen pop! Cabinets should always always always match (or be near enough) the same colour of the tiles on the floor so defs cream. Thennnn on the walls I would do one wall aubergine to make a feature wall and the rest cream. Aubergine accessories will loook so darn hot on the work tops. What colour appliances are you thinking of getting?

Kurriye , see this is how my dining and kitchen is :

Now , I am thinking Aubergine cabinets with brown work top … and top cabinets can be creme color to match the tiles …

Silver oven, silver hob top, silver handles, silver fridge, silver sink …

And then notice the dining cabinets on both sides, I am planning to get them made kitchen style , with small work tops .. the cabinet doors will be brown to match the work top and the space between the top and the botton cabinets will be painted aubergine color … :hmmm:

Coz aubergine is a hard and expensive colour to accessorize … so I thought of brown and silver as the rest of the theme? .. what say?

Orphy i have looked at so many catalogues and magazines now and am even more confused :( ... this aubergine kitchen i liked but just want to be sure it will look equally good in a home setting .. so looking for advise with particular to this kitchen ...

Ok your kitchen does not look to be too big, i would stay away from ALOT of dark color in taht small of an area. Like kuri said, even a few elements in that color will make it pop. You dont want a congested, suffocated look. Since the dining is just across, maybe add the same color elements in that room too somehow.

Ira , thats the plan …

The cabinets behind the dining table will be brown , the same color as the kitchen work top .. the dining table runner will be aubergine color to give that special touch …

it seems from everyone’s advise that creme cabinets on top, and aubergine cabinets below will look good …:hmmm: … so i might go with that plan … :hugz:

Khair, dining table :hayaa: .. I havnt even started looking at that yet … I am thinking the kitchen is the most expensive option right now , so need to sort that out carefully , dining table can be chosen accordingly … :hmmm:

You like the brown cabinet and aubergine painted wall between the top and the bottom cabinet , idea ? would it look good with the aubergine cabinets below with the kitchen that I posted in post one ?

Ooooh consider this before you buy a dining table, not sure if its the cheaper option buttt it will definetly look good. Whoever you get your kitchen made from, tell them you want a dining table island. So there will be cabinets underneath and the matching worktop on top like you have in the rest of the kitchen. All you have to do then is but the chairs. My mums really specific when it comes to things like this and couldnt find a table she liked and that matched the kitchen so used this idea instead. It just makes the kitchen look really co ordinated, especially if youre gonna go for cabinets at the other side of the kitchen. It'll all flow - I hope that made sense?

Yeah the paint in between would look good, maybe paint the whole wall aubergine? That could be like a feature wall (in theory or in my head even I think it would look good but obv it depends on the size of the kitchen and stuff) You could get get a really pretty painting to put in the middle of the wall or even a mirror to make the kitchen look bigger.
