What colors should I choose for countertop and cabinets? Please ladies help me out. What colors are in nowadays?

What color are your walls? The walls should offer as a good back drop. I like dark countertops and dark cabinets. Other people think lightcolors to brighten the kitchen are a better idea. My ideal kitchen would have dark Gerry quartz countertops and cherry cabinets.

Thanks. Yes thats what I want. I too like dark countertop and cabinets but just wanted more ideas.

How do we know?

Best way is to figure out what colour you kitchen cabinets and backsplash are. Take a picture of your kitchen, take measurements, visit stores and talk to the associates about it. Think about how much you want to spend and what material you are looking for: laminate? wood? granite? tiles? cork?

It comes down to your personal preference only, for example, I hate dark kitchens where people have dark coloured everything: cabinets/backsplash/countertops. Others love it, especially because lighter colours need more maintenance.

true about the maintenance. I like everything very practical and easy to maintain. You can get pretty things that are practical too.

Yep, anything will look pretty if mantained well and compliments other things in your kitchen. Not just the colour but even different materials require different level of maintenance and care. I hate wood, it can phool-ify because of water spills. Find out which material is scratch resistant, stain resistant as well.
