in my kitchen, I can see very tiny and small ants.

i tried borex powder and different sprays. i investigated the issue is under the plywood of counter top.

any idea to kill them?

STA , I think the only thing that will help , since you wont be able to reach the actual source of the problem , try to clean up as many ants as you can ... I remember an aunty who used to have this problem and she brought some insect powder .. that she spread in the kitchen corners to contain the ants ... once you start finishing off their daily trail they will slowly decrease in numbers and eventually disappear ...

.. and also try to keep the kitchen counters as clean as possible .. and ensure you run the dry sponge over the counter using a cleaning spray every time you use it .. that will discourage the ants as well since they wont find any food ...

There are many products in the market which kill the whole colony including the queen. I have used one of them in my garden and can guarantee that.
They work this way that the ants take that bait inside their colony and which they feed to the queen and others eat too and die. They do not work on contact. The products which work on contact are not good for getting rid of the whole colony. You can get rid of that colony in few days using those slow kill baits.

Mirch can you please share which powder you used ... I tried a few months back four different things and none worked :( .. I mean they do the job temporarily but nothing permanent

counter tops are clean, i used vinegar, and baits. baits worked in washroom, but no sign of effect in kitchen.

every time I annoyed with ants. :hinna:

Yes its an really disturbing issue and these ants have an particula disgusting smell ,and also filthy feeling ..and they are al over scattered on milk ,eatables and any left over foods and even they explore fridge areas as well .
to get rid of the same try vinegar inshallah this issue will be tackled .just sprinkle vinegar and wipe the areas which these ants freak out .and see the result .....keep posted the result you get so that this can be usefull to others as well all the best

If you've tried everything and nothing seems to be working, call an exterminator. This may cost a little more than home remedies, but you wont see an ant again for years!

We had a cockroach problem in our old house. they were tiny baby cockroaches and no matter what we did they just came back. so we called the exterminator and since that day we never saw a single cockroach again :)

Boiling water is very effective but would be hard to use if the problem is underneath your countertops. I always think it sounds rather cruel but then again so is poisoning them.
