It is possible that in in their cultural perspective it really is 'about nothing'. Just a parent-child peck.

This show of affection being distinct from affection between adults.

I know of Pakistani parents who kiss their kids on the lips ages ranging from 6 mo to 2 years ... it doesnt seem weird.

I dont know about older kids, perhaps there should be a limit there.

now it might seem unusual but i kiss my nieces and nephews on the lips. well not nieves anymor cause they are like 6 now.
but when they were under 4 i did. and i dont really think thre is anythign wrong wit it. but as they grow older i dont feel comfortable.

hmmm, Well I am too much into this kissing and hugging stuff but only on the cheeks... no lips after the child is 8. Hugs and kisses on the cheeks all the way....

I only kiss my niece on the lips, I would never kiss any other child other then my own on the lips.

i personally would feel wierd kissing my child on the lips…i mean theres this whole cute chubby face…with soft cheeks and big beautiful eyes…so y only go for the lips?..Duuhhh…:rotfl:…but it’ll be ok if mothers do do it…to some extent to some limited age…:)…

tat's cute i guess cuz my mum kisses my younger brother on his lips though hes 10 yrs but i fonk tat should b till a certain age limit till the children r mature enuff :)

ermmm i kiss ma 8 months old sis on da lips :bummer: i don’t c nuffin wrong wid dat…though i DON’T kiss ma 6 yrs old sis on da lips feels a bit awkward buh yea i guess it depends k till when it shuld b done…

buh when they r like a year or two old i think it’s juz a way of expressin luv..i personally think it’s really cute :slight_smile:
