A father’s grief
Palestinian photojournalist Nasser Shtayyeh weeps as he carries the body of his five-day-old daughter Dunya before her funeral in Nablus April 19, 2002. Shtayyeh, who works as a photographer with the Associated Press, said that Dunya had taken ill the night before and died enroute to the hospital, after the family waited 3 hours for an ambulance to get through roadblocks and into their home village of Salem. The hospital was only 2.5 miles away.
