Agree with Pisiform. Op described the guy as a ladies’ man, as basically someone who is confident around women. I doubt that a guy like that would hesitate in telling a girl that he is interested in that he wants to take the friendship to the next level before uttering an “I love you.” Even the less confident guys will make an effort, so they say. He knows she’s single and if he were interested enough, he wouldn’t let her get away. Also, how was his behavior toward her much prior to this kiss? Did he maintain regular communication with her, was he flirtatious or romantic, did he give any hints etc etc. So how he acted before may provide some insight…as well as how he behaves in the days following the intimate gesture.
