kismat/naseeb

wutever u want to call it. i say, yes it’s already written and everything, BUT u shape ur own kismat/naseeb. u still have free will and u still have a choice to choose which one instead of saying boo hoo it’s my naseeb so im just gonna let it go. if that was the case u wuldn’t work or strive and u’d get everything sitting there, but u don’t so it’s not true yea?

I think some people just don’t try harder and don’t pray/strive towards what they really want. I believe if you want something you will with your heart and mind want it and you will do whatever it takes to get it, I know there are certain things that come into play but…i believe nothing is impossible and everything is possible. And if at the end you tried your best but it didn’t happen, THEN that’s your naseeb and may be it was for the best.

agree/disagree??

Re: kismat/naseeb

Agreed.

It’s a very sensitive issue and requires a full knowledge of what actually QISMAT is in accordance to the Islamic faith…

None of us can comprehend fully what does it mean… Precisely, there are certain things which are Mohkamaat - meaning they are not going to change even if we strive e.g. Birth, Death, day of judgement etc.

But there are things which are written in Lohim Mahfooz but they are reffered to as “Mo’allaq” … meaning temporary… Allah:swt: keeps changing them as the things happen in this world… like Iqbal said:

Kaun andaazah kar saktaa hai uss kaY zor-e-baazu kaa
nigaah-e-mard-e-momin saY badal jaati haiN taqdeeraiN

But the confusing part for many, is that, Allah:swt: even knows what will be changed and due to which reasons…

It’s like, I somehow find out what you are going to do tomorrow but my knowledge does not dictate you to do it… Just because I know what you will be doing, does not mean you will be doing it because i know - you will be doing it because you want to do :mudhosh:

Re: kismat/naseeb

agreed.... You will only get whatever you have tried hard for and most things are possible to achieve in life. To become a millionaire or to get an entry in heavens, You have to work hard for it. Nothing is easy.

read the translation to surah najam very careful, there are some hints/secrets for having success in this life.

Re: kismat/naseeb

agree...but hard work n tries 4 ur betterment does nt work all the time.....

Re: kismat/naseeb

of course it doesnt, u gotta be smart also, u cannot just be a dumb mofo and work 18 hours shift on a farm or factory...u gotta use ur head and have goals in life to make it above and beyond. 99.9997% of people who are rich had goals and dreams and dedication. Although anyone can have dreams of becoming rich but its those people who put their goals into action by laying out a plan to achieve the dreams of riches.

PS: Like someone famous said "get off your a$$ if your planning to be rich"

Re: kismat/naseeb

agreed ,

you always have a choice , i presume of two ways and wotever way you choose is already set out by god so wotever will come ur way in dt path of ur choice is ur naseeb.

this is a very complex issue and ppl often struggle to understand it , i hve seen many mke deliberate wrong choices and do wrong things n den blame it as deyre kismat .

Re: kismat/naseeb

yep, a hadith I came across:

**The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: **"Nothing can change the Divine decree except du’aa’. (Narrated by Ahmad, 5/677; Ibn Maajah, 90; al-Tirmidhi, 139. Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 76687. See also al-Saheehah, 145)

**
And he said: “No precaution can protect against the decree of Allaah. Du’aa’ is beneficial with regard to what has been decreed and what has not been decreed. The du’aa’ meets the calamity that has been decreed and wrestles with it, until the Day of Resurrection.” (Narrated by al-Tabaraani, 2/800 (33). Al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 7739, (it is) hasan)**

Re: kismat/naseeb

"Ab mein boloo keh na bolloo?" ( - famous line from an old Paki drama)

Nah .... people are not ready

Re: kismat/naseeb

exactly, personally i feel, you won’t try harder unless u really really desire something/someone. if you think your trying will hurt the people around you, then you try spiritually, you pray and make dua 24/7. but that all depends, if you really truly want that thing. Allah hu Alim

thanks, i will read that insh’Allah

you get tested in everyway, just because it doesn’t work or you don’t get what you want doesn’t mean you’ll never get it. you have to have sabr, who knows you might get it later or you might end up with something better. yea it hurts and yea you feel helpless but what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger

yep, i can totally relate to that. at times i wish i had interfered and done something myself instead of depending on the other but then again i guess it’s a lesson for us all to learn. but i know i had tried other ways but hadn’t tried harder because i didn’t pray much or make dua for it enough.

afsos isi baat ka hai, ke log ghaltiyan kar bethTay hain aur naseeb pe ilzaam laga dete hain, i totally disagree…and i know they have a choice, they just fail to acknowledge it :teary1:
