Guys, does anyone know where one can buy Kiran from…?
Kiran is basically the stuff moms/grandma’s had on their dupatta’s border in gold or silver (they looks like thousands of hairs)
Will source a picture if no one understands what I am talking about.
I’m in London, UK at the moment, no one had any in Lahore when I was out there…

They are available here in Lahore. I have 3 rolls at my place right now. I got a dozen of them at my wedding for my mehndi backdrop decorations :)

I got mine from rang mahal but I have seen them in liberty dupatta gali too.
They are of no use to me.i can send them to you like that if you want to..they were not too expensive !

In london you can get some from Southall Broadway - there's a shop called New Indi fashion or similar, its got a black and white sign and is on a corner.
It's not cheap though

Can get them in Ichara bazaar. We got kiran and all mehndi decorations for my cousin from there. Although its icky and packed!
Difference between Kiran & Jhalar
Hi ppl,
I'm somewhat deciding on my mehndi entrance dupatta and want to know more abt the difference between jhalar and kiran.
I am told kiran is of gota and jhalar is of cloth (chifoun)... basically what i am making is a red chifoun dupata with golden n green chan boti with 4 border jhalar / kiran (golden)... now the thing is ive been given a choice to put jhalar or kiran.... and i really dont know the difference.
for the record, im wearing green gharara on mehndi... with yellow shirt, green dupatta... thus we have a green border added to the red entrance dupatta mentioned above...
feel free to give me more ideas..

I can’t really specify the difference as I am not sure myself but here are a few kinari/jhalar pics. I have a feeling stoppit would know better.
