After Mehdi Hassan the second person who sung ghazals so beautifully “Jagjit Sing” died couple of days ago. His voice was magnificent and he really some beautiful ghazals. In his memory I would like to share some of my favorite ghazals which he sung and I want all of my GS members to share ghazals sung by him

yes, the world knows him as a great Ghazal Singer but sorry to say for some reason i didn't like his singing just like i don't like Mehndi Hasan...sound so depressing to me...but, that's just ME! one in a million! lol ;)

KKF I know I agree with you at this point that Jagjits and Mehdi Hasan ghazals are depressing but I think other than ishq-e-haqeeqi or romantic poetry is usually depressing

Oh my, I did not know that he passed away ...that is so sad

and no I dont think that he was depressing. In fact he popularized ghazal listening. WHo can forget his "ahista ahista". He was also the first one who introduced western instruments (keyboard, guitar) in ghazal music. Truly a legend.

KKF this is more classical Jagjit was little bit more modern I can say Mehdi Hassan rota thaa but some of Jagjit songs were better.

Jagjit really performed good when he did Mirza Ghalib drama, it is classical.

one of his best. The guy was a legend. Sub ahle zauq Jagjit aur mehdi hassan koh pasaand kartey hain.
