I can’t figure out King Abdullah. He is a kind of leader whose there but not actually there. Maybe it’s due to Jordan’s overall insignificance. :bummer:

Let the records show the article has been read. The last 4 paras were skimmed. Hope this postpones the proposed ban.

Article says King Abdullah is a direct descendent of your prophet. Interesting.

Anyone with Syed preceding their name in the subcontinent stakes the same claim. Interesting x 100 million.

I agree with King Abdullah's fear/assertion that a 2 state solution is probably a lost cause, and what we are already looking at is an apartheid state of Israel. Israel will never allow a unified democratic state, as jews will be outvoted by the arabs in any elections. So essentially, their only choice is segregation, which we already see in the form of settlements.

If the Arabs made peace with Israel would that not lead to more sympathy toward the Palestinians by the international community and thus more support in regards with the two nation solution?

No.

Coincidentally, caught the tail end of Goldbergs interview on NPR on the drive home. Mentioned king is throwing brushback pitch against relatives.

I didn't think there would be much enthusiasm for that idea, but what is the answer then? Should things continue the way they are? It doesn't look as though Israel will be willing to concede in any way and change doesn't seem to be on the horizon.
