my son goes to pre-school/kindergarten and they r having an eid party soon
it wud b nce if u guys cud help out by suggesting some activities to keep the kids busy they r of ages 2-3-4 yr
As the last party was an almost disaster the manager has asked me to come up with sme ideas
i thought the children shud b more involved with preparing things fr the party , which will make them more excited
so far i have come up with

the children making paper chains
eid cards
piniata (dunno how to spell it)
colour invitations fr parents (so they have a better outcome than last time)
pin the nose on the clown or pin the petal on the flower (will use velcro)
maybe they can blow up little balloons n stick them up

musical chairs was a disaster as was pass the parcel

i need ideas where we can perhaps involve some of the parents

mods can move to apropriate forum if nessecary

Little food - more fun and games.

Make a theme - maybe like an Eid carnival. Or a global festival.

Set up individual tables for each country or activites.

Getting a face painter or clown or someone to make balloon animals

For 2 yr olds - make an area full of toys (blocks, trains, cars) They are not going to pay attention to games / activities

For 3 yrs olds - playdo, moon sand, coloring, pinata, baseball

For 4 yr old - making Eid cards, pop corn or making cotton candy machine (you can rent those)

Get a bouncer

is this for this coming Eid? If it is, make the 'theme' about sacrifice, especially Hazrat Ibrahim (as) and Hazrat Ismail (as) sacrifice. For example, make small food and/or toy baskets for the poor kids in the neighborhood/town.

We had a idea about making kabaa like with poster you can cut and paint Khana kaba black and golden.
Decorating cookies and eating them is a fun idea kids love that.
Make them draw goat or any qurbani janwar looks cool and funny.

Or make a cake or cup cakes with khana kaba theme.

I have fond memories of my first school christmas party, they had pass the parcel, it was good! U wrap some sweets or something in a parcel. Then u put more sweets on top of the parcel and do another layer of wrap. Then encase that double parcel in another layer of wrap with more sweets / mini-toys inside. Keep going until u have enough layers for the number of kids. Sit them down and get them to pass the parcel to eachther until the music stops. Whoever has to parcel when it stops gets to unwrap 1 layer and keep the contents. Just make sure the person in charge of music ensures that it stops at each person once at some point.

BTW - I only wrote the details in case the original poster was unaware of the rules of the game!

Another thing I remember is we had little plastic cups filled with fruit in jelly with a blob of cream on top.

And we had musical chairs.

And Father Christmas came and gave us all crackers. That is christmas crackers by the way, not cheese n crackers.
