Kim Won Gyu denies Western Media Report

Seems like we gonna have so much fun, don’t we?

Hail, Koreans

K orean envoy denies transfer of N-tech

LAHORE, Feb 8: Korean Ambassador Kim Won Gyu on Saturday termed Western media’s reports accusing Pakistan of transferring nuclear technology to Seoul as false allegations carrying no truth at all.

“The allegation is baseless and aimed at seeking an artificial excuse to isolate and pressurize both Pakistan and Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea,” he said while talking to reporters after attending the 61st birthday of Korean leader Kim Jong-Il. The function was organized by the People’s Council for Young Political Leaders (PCYPL) at Kapoor Thala House.

Earlier, speaking at the function, Mr Gyu said Korea was facing “nuclear dispute” created by the US. “This dispute will be settled only when the US will come out for direct talks with Korea,” he said.

He said the Koreans would never give up their dignity and honour. “If the US is going to pressurize Korea then the Koreans will face it on eye for an eye basis,” he asserted.

“As long as we Korean people have an excellent leadership and unity between people, party and army, we will be able to safeguard our sovereignty with honour,” he added.

Mr Gyu said **Korea and Pakistan had long friendship based on mutual understanding and trust. He said a lot of changes were taking place in international arena but relations between the two countries’ would continue to develop and strengthen. **

PCYPL president Dr Fakharuddin Chaudhry, Dr Abdul Hakeem, PPP leaders Munir Ahmad Khan and Altaf Qureshi also spoke on the occasion.

What did you expect him to say? That Korea and Pakistan are transfering nuclear technology?

what Korea is this news article talking about?

The current fiasco is about North Korea and Pakistan... and the story is linked to that.. after all it mentions Kim Jong Il - the leader of the Communist North Korea.

the poor idiot who wrote the article needs some geography lessons..

Seoul is capital of South Korea, on the other hand Pyog Yang is capital of the communist North Korea

the whole story is ****e.

hmm, have u guys heard MAnsur Aijaz on Fox News Channel. He is an expert on proliferation issues and in particular he is being called on to elucidate on Pakistan's alleged transfer of nuclear knowhow to the NKoreans. I am amazed , Pakistan is always on top of his agenda and he misses no chance to reinforce and reiterate his stance to the Americans that Pakistan is the biggest culprit.

PT: why does the article refer to Korea instead of N.Korea in the pakistani newspaper? is it pakistani policy or co-incidence?

Kareem: nice one. it is inedible soup

Losty - if we're thinking of the same person (well oiled combed back black hair and articulate guy) this dude comes of with some credibility. I always thought of him as a pakistani for some reason - wrong? I've also seen him in other networks, not just Fox

Mansur Ijaz of Cresent group is a Pakistani American. He basically tries to expose the truth about Pakistan.

Can someone provide some proof or it this as usual horsesh!t to sell papers.

Abdali,

What proof are you looking for? Video Footage? :hehe: Or will you say that it was “doctored”

FAct is that the Ghauri missile is a repainted No Dong. And N.Korea “suddenly” acquired Uranium enrichment technology that takes decades to mature. You don’t get it overnight unlesss Santa (AQKhan) drops it in your lap :hehe:

So is Indian missile to nuke technology gift of the USSR/Russkie/west… LOL…

Ah yes may be you want to dig out on NK nuclear history your ex Russkie masters have done a nice job… How very convinenet the moment NR rings its nuclear bells bad pakis come into picture… :hehe:

Looks like Mushy got caught red handed this time selling chinese nuclear technology to NKorea. Sad state of affair.

:hehe:

Abdali,

Actually, India’s Nuke program began from America’s Atoms for peace program. We don’t hide it.

What specifically are you talking about?

AFA N.K is concerned Ring magnets is not it genius. The Design for a plutonium based bomb is different from a Uranium based one. The 1994 deal with Clinton put cameras and sensors in their Plutonium enrichment reactors and related facilities. Now all of a sudden they have a uranium enrichment facility. If you know anything about Uranium enrichment, you’ll know that the centrifuge design takes decades to perfect. Chinese enrichment designs need HUGE faciilites and they consume HUGE amounts of power. Pakistan had a smaller scale design which coincidentally appeared all of a sudden in N.Korea.

Plus you guys used a American given C-130 to transport the centrifuges that was tracked all the way from Kahuta to Yongbyon :hehe:

So instead of making half baked assertions, ask some legitimate questions.

WOW so the indigenous part goes down the drain when caught with the pants down :rotfl: … SO the Canadians/Russkies/US/Israel can proliferate .. LOL …

Here is aaj ki taja khabar…

Russia helped India’s nuclear plan: CIA

In its semi-annual report the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has said that Russia has significantly supported in developing India’s nuclear programmes with technology and equipment

N Korean Nuclear Arsenal
By Lee Wha Rang

The US-N Korea Geneva Nuclear Accord freezes N Korea’s nuke “activities” in return for six billion-plus dollars in aids. N Korea’s existing nuclear sites are not immediately affected. The accord does not address the “existing” nuclear devices. Its primary interest appears to be curtailing further expansion of nuke production in N Korea.
Nuke Sites
Yongbyon 0.1 megawatts thermal (MWt) critical assembly - This small reactor is believed to be the first nuclear reactor in N Korea. It was provided by the Soviet and went into operation in early 1960s. Its primary function is isotope production.

Yongbyon Reactor I - The construction of this natural uranium-graphite power reactor began in 1980 at Yongbyon, 100 km north of Pyongyang. It is based on a 1950 MAGNOX technology (graphite moderator, aluminum-magnesium clad natural uranium fuel , CO2 gas cooling). The reactor was completed in 1984 and it as was activated in February 1987 under Prof. Ha Kyong Won, a Korean physicist educated in US. After many startup problems, it was operating at 20-30 MW by 1990.
N Korea removed about 30 lb. of plutonium from this reactor in 1988 and built two nuclear bombs. From 1989 to 1991, N Korea may have extracted additional 60 lb. of plutonium, enough for five nukes.

Yongbyon Reactor II - A 50 MW MAGNOX-type reactor was started in 1984. N Korea built a military nuclear complex next to this reactor. This complex was completed in 1989 and the reactor was tentatively activated in 1992. This reactor alone is capable of producing enough plutonium for 10-12 nukes a year.

Taechon Reactor I - The construction of a 200 MW MAGNOX-type reactor was started at Taechon, 60 miles north of Pyongyang in 1988 and it is expected to be completed in 1996.

Taechon Reactor II - A 600-800 MW reactor is also underway at Taechon (completion possible by 1997). This reactor could produce 180-230 Kg of plutonium a year, enough for 30-40 nukes.

Simpo Reactor I - This 635mw reactor is based on a German design. In May 1989, N Korea and Germany signed a comprehensive agreement on the transfer of “substantial” amounts of German nuclear technology and nuclear weapons materials, including enriched uranium, to Pyongyang. The transfer of the German nuclear know-how has continued via Iran, Libya Syria and Yugoslavia.

Yongbyon Separation Plant - A plutonium separation facility (“Radiological Research Lab”) was built at Yongbyon in 1987. This plant is capable of handling several hundreds of tons of fuel a year, enough to handle fuel from all of the reactors , some 33 lb. of plutonium annually.. The plutonium factory for the nuclear weapons is a single story building constructed on top the main plutonium reprocessing facility, deep underground. In 1993, N Korea completed a second plant, doubling its capacity for plutonium production.
About 70 lb. were believed to have been extracted from the reactors since 1991. In 1992, N Korea bought 120 lb. of plutonium from a former Soviet block country and may have produced 10 bombs. It is quite possible that N Korea has acquired additional nuclear material from the former Soviet republics.

Most intelligence sources, including Russian and Chinese, state that N Korea has close to 10 operational nuclear warheads for its missiles and two nuclear devices that can be carried by truck , boat or transport aircraft. N Korean warheads are of 50 KT class, weighing around 1,100 lb.

Abdali,

As expected you posted 2 irrelevant links.

Are you saying that Pak did not give nukes to N.Korea or that Pak gave it but Israel/US did it also so its okay?

Make up your mind. I can see thru your irrelevant links.

The only one caught with pants down is Pakistan who are stupid enough to use American given planes to send nukes to N.Korea.

You still don't get the point, oh well nothing out of the ordinary.... Gave nukes to Korea.. LOL... you mean like Indians gave chemical weapons to Iraq and were caught with their dhoti down with a trail of paperwork......... I guess similarities are striking or should I say in reverse. Did ya get the point.

No You don't get the point. An indian company supplied Chemical wepaons related stuff to Iraq. India did not deny it. We prosecuted the bad guys. And BTW, the stuiff was not flown on IAF jets to Baghdad ;)

You guys gave nukes to N.Korea but keep denying it. The PAF C-130 (given by US) was tracked by US govt all the way to Yongbyon.

Make up your mind. Do you deny that your govt gave Nukes to N.Korea? Or do you say - we gave it, what's the big deal?

Don't bring in other extraneous factors.

You still don't get the point..LOL..... With a trail of paper work leading all the way to Delhi you had no choice but to confess.

Now comming back to NK can you provide concrete evidence just like you were nailed to the wall... Or are you saying just because Tom Dick and Harry said it it must be true.. Then in that case 5 bad Pakis also crossed into US and they should be caught any time... Eh...... ;)

Abdali,

As always all talk and no facts from you.

Anyway, its not Tom, Dick and Harry, but official US govt statement.

This is the link to the SWORN testimony of US Deputy secretary of State Richard Armitage testifying to Senate Foreign Relations committee on Feb 4, 2003

Fast forward to Minute 29 and see his say that US govt has tracking of Pakistan supplying nukes to N.Korea.

I’ll take the SWORN testimony of a US Govt official over Mushy’s vague denials anyday :hehe:

LOL…your link ain’t working by the same token US officials also accused bad Pakis of helping Iran with its nuke program… And President bush said on CNN those 5 bad Pakis must be caught… any comments…

The link needs Real Audio to listen. so download it first and then listen.

The fact is that you guys were busted and are trying to deny it.

I have real audio and I use it every day… any thoughts on 5 bad Pakis bush was chasing few weeks back. :hehe:
