Oranges are sold as per kg rate in rural Sindh, while in Karachi these are sold per dozen?
Have you ever seen such differences in other areas?

Re: Kilograms and Dozens
i remember a funny situation i was subjected to once while traveling by train through different regions of India. My journey started in New Delhi and my destination was Mumbai. the train was supposed to pass through Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat and into Maharashtra.
in Delhi, the pooRis are sold by count while in Gujraat it's sold by the weight. on Vododara [Baroda] Station i asked the hawker to give me 8 pooRis...aaloo kii sabzii come FREE with the pooRiis...the guy said they sell it by weight so i asked him to give me 500 grams...he tried to weigh but it was a little too much so he anipped a piece...it still weight a little too much so he snipped another piece from one of the pooRiis...he continued 3-4 times with the snipping...lol...hahahaha...why didn't he weigh the 8 pooRiis and charge me for that at whatever rate. i guess it was for the sake of convenience of doing the math.

Eggs are by dozen in US. Mangoes, you will find sometimes by each (price per mango) and sometimes by pounds. Bakery goods are usually sold by dozens (or eaches)
