good stuff natureboy…
although i think the right side of the dagger shudd have a lil light along the vertical length, as the image taken shows the light source to b a lil towards the right of it..
p.s. wat happened to the dek of cards, looks a bit strange in the middle, has it got a piece of paper in between cards somewhere in the middle?
anyways, nice stuff man, i wish i cud do all this, i,ll probably learn it,
sighhhhhhh but first i gotta learn guitar
Okay the light is trying its best to simulate those kerosene lamps that are not to intensive but give a yellowish bright glow… so the intesity of the lamp is reduced as you go farther (unlike a floruscent lamp)!
The paper cards are kept randomly on top of each other with a difference of somewhere under 0.1. So it seems as if that one card is a bit out!
Very nice Mashallah. Just something that came out of a few ameteur observations.
Lighting: The light in the lamp is too yellowy, i would assume that if it were a bulb then there would be a hint of white inside the lamp, unless it’s a yellow light lamp. Also, the blinds I assume are steel? If they are then they need to be more silvery or shimmery. If they are not then u need to make them whiter, at the moment you can’t tell what kind of blinds they are.
Shades: There is too much shade in the corner between the table and the wall under the electrical socket, looking at the distance from the light I would imagine it to be slightly lighter, unless the lamp is such that it is giving more light towards the dagger?
Proportions: On first looking at the image, it still has a ‘hard’ feel to the proportions in the sense that they look a bit too ‘tall’ or squarish. I can’t propose the best solution but perhaps widening the overall screen might fix that, or even stretching the image horizontally slighty.
Again I am just a useless critical analyser but since u’ve put it up here u obviously would want feed back.
Are u using EAI 3D Studio Viz? Have u heard u can make dynamic photo ‘scenes’ ie have 3D image which you can move around in by distorting the proportions to give u a sense of virtual reality and the ability to move within your image? It’s really cool.

Well thanks for the comments…but I can’t afford the 3DSTudio licence. I am a povray fan and shall stick with povray (as long as povray remains freeware)! BTW! I never intend to get professional in 3D art. #D art is not me - I’ll just remain an ammateur; it is more fun that way
