killing lizards

is rewarding. Is that true? I mean arent we supposed to be merciful towards all creatures?

If you don't want to kill them, then chase them out of the home if possible.

Nooooo who said that? lol

And black dogs..........

True, it is rewarding to kill house lizards because Allah’s prophet (pbuh) said:

Muslim (2238) narrated from Sa‘d, from his father, that the Prophet (pbuh) enjoined killing the wazagh and called it a noxious little creature.

The reason why it is to be killed is that it is harmful. In my opinion the reason that Allah’s prophet has commanded us to do something should be enough. If we can see the benefit, that’s a bonus. If we can’t, we still have to do it.

Where it says killing Lizards is rewarding?

Doing something that is enjoined by the prophet (pbuh) of Allah is rewarding.

Let me take this opportunity to quote another hadis meant to encourage a quick kill (to minimize the pain):

Muslim (2240) narrated that Abu Hurayrah(ra) said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Whoever kills a wazagh with the first blow will have such and such of hasanah. Whoever kills it with the second blow will have such and such of hasanah, less than the first. Whoever kills it with the third blow will have such and such of hasanah, less than the second.”
