An American soldier has accused by US military court of premeditated 3 murders for leading a rogue “kill team” in Afghanistan.
The ringleader, Calvin Gibbs , of a rogue US army unit responsible for the “thrill kills” of Afghan civilians was found guilty of murder and jailed for life on Thursday, but he will be eligible for parole in less than nine years.
Gibbs was the highest ranking of five soldiers charged in the deaths of the unarmed men during patrols in Kandahar province early last year. At his court martial, the 26-year-old acknowledged cutting fingers off corpses and yanking out a victim’s tooth to keep as war trophies, “like keeping the antlers off a deer you’d shoot.”
In March 2011, photographs were published showing the soldiers posing with the bloody corpses of Afghan civilians they had just killed.
So torturing is common in the American military this guy got caught how many got away with killing for sport, this incident is just another one in the list of american achivements from guantanmo bay to torture chambers of Baghram airbase. This guy will be out in 9 years for torture and killing of kids even, American justice system is as warped as its military!

So torturing is common in the American military this guy got caught how many got away with killing for sport, this incident is just another one in the list of american achivements from guantanmo bay to torture chambers of Baghram airbase. This guy will be out in 9 years for torture and killing of kids even, American justice system is as warped as its military!
It is not as common as suicide bombing , kidnapping for ransom and killing of innocent citizens in the rouge areas of Afghanistan and Pakisan.
But since they were doing thrill kills and killing innocent citizen , he and his buddies should have been handed down death sentence. And since now he was given life imprisonment it should have been without parole This is the only thing which I see was wrong with this decision.

Dr aafia siddique was given 86 years for not killing anyone this shows the racism and hypocrisy of America. There own soldiers white and killing civillians can torture and kill people and cut body parts off and they will be free in 9 years must make the AMerican apologists proud.

According to me, the quantum of punishment is too less, when Faisal Shazad failed in blowing car bomb he was awarded more than 70 years of imprisonment, while in this genuine case, only 9 years of punishment sounds very strange as per judicial system of USA
